Who says country and heavy metal don't mix, baby!?!" The Wiggle Wagons are an alternative country band that is transcending genres and pushing music into a new era. Featuring the songs of singer/songwriter Daniel Grigg and the lightning fast guitar licks of Bud Burke, the Wiggle Wagons combine a Kris Kristofferson style of songwriting with a Randy Rhodes style of guitar playing. The band was formed in 2003 shortly after Daniel relocated from rural North Carolina to the San Francisco Bay Area. Here, he joined forces with Bud, a classically trained guitarist who was a touring bassist in the death metal band Exhumed, a studio musician, and a guitar teacher. With Daniel’s guttural delivery of emotional lyric along with Bud’s vocal harmonies and distinctive twang , a new and extraordinary sound was born. They called themselves the Wiggle Wagons, a classic trucker term for an 18-wheeler hauling multiple trailers. Almost immediately, the Wiggle Wagons were playing in local clubs and bars as both an acoustic duo, as well as a full four-piece outfit. The band quickly found consistent success amongst the local music scene, attracting a vast fan base from your country gentleman to your tatted-up biker to your long-haired head-banger. With such a large range of musical influences present in the group, they performed a wide variety of songs ranging from Buck Owens and David Allen Coe to T-Rex and Motorhead, along with their originals to tie it all together. Along with gaining a reputation of being one of the Bay Area's best live bands, the Wiggle Wagons also captured their early sound with the debut album "Loaded up and Truckin". Since then, the band has moved it's operations to Charlotte, North Carolina to continue their campaign of unleashing what is best described as COUNTRY SHRED!
